Auto-Update USB Drivers & Improve USB Performance in Minutes!

I recently upgraded to windows 10 en i have some trouble with the USB-port on the back of my desktop computer. It sounds like it would have been nice if you would have Installed Win 10 as a Dual Boot so you could have booted to Win 7 and tested your hardware that way. If you created a System Image of your Win 7 or have the Install disk you could reinstall it by shrinking your hard drive and restore it to the empty space.
Edit: Guess if you don’t have your win 7 you can download the ISO for it at the link below. But you will need your Win 7 key to do that.
And it should be on your computer somewhere. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback.
Are you on Insider Builds or the Public Build. Insider is up to If Windows 10 is not there select the latest available like Windows 8. With Insider Builds the Build is displayed on the lower right of the screen so it is an easy one to know. Click on that and run the troubleshooter.

Hi there, Hi, I recently upgraded to windows 10 en i have some trouble with the USB-port on the back of my desktop computer. I have 2 usb 2. I use Cubase Elements audio recording on this machine running fine under windows 7 64 bit. But after a while the Cubase report audio drop outs. I discovered the i might be the usb-ports. In bios the USB ports on the back are recognised.
But after installing windows 10 the usb ports on the back work not stabil. I updated my drivers, throw away the usb in device manager etc.. My question: – could it still be a hardware problem my USB port die? Thanks in advance for your feedback, Greetings Vincent from Holland. This thread is locked. Have you looked in Device Manager? In reply to A. User’s post on November 17, Thanks Cal54 for the iso-link and your idea about this. I’m looking further and i have discovered the following: When i put an usb-stick in the back of my PC Say: “the not stabil usb-ports”.
Sorry for bad englisch, but i’m from Holland :- Thanks again her for any reply.. Greetings Vincent. In reply to lacrumb’s post on November 17, Dear Lacrumb, Already done, also thanks for standing by :- Greetings Vincent.
In reply to VincentPes’s post on November 17, Thanks a lot Cal54, I hope that microsoft can fix it anyway. I’m a bit dissapointed that some company’s don’t support older legacy products Maybe i’m wrong, and is my gear broken. Then its up to me to fix it. But today i made my mind up. I use the remaining usb-port on the front! Thanks for your help on this, a used the Troubleshooter as suggested by you, But no problems were detected by windows. This site in other languages x.

In reply to kanuck’s post on August 13, In reply to KaptainKayos’s post on October 3, Hi, Apologize for delay in response.
Type Troubleshooting in search box and open it. Follow the instruction. Uninstall each of the devices under the USB Controller section by right-clicking on each one, and then clicking Uninstall.
Close the Device Manager and restart your computer. Windows will automatically re-install the USB controllers in your computer, without you having to do anything further. Your computer will now run USB devices properly. User’s post on October 10, Thanks for your response Anil, however I tried all this but it makes no difference, because there is nothing wrong with the hardware or drivers.
I have since stumbled upon a work-around that works for my system: Go to power settings and disable “Fast Startup”. Reboot and all USB ports will work flawlessly. I’m guessing that fast startup does not allow enough time to register all drivers or something. Obviously this is a fault with the operating system. Hope this helps somebody else with the same issues In reply to KaptainKayos’s post on October 10, I have also noticed the touchscreen desktop services decides to disable itself whenever it feels like it, I have to manually enable and start, the USB I get yellow errors I have to uninstall then reboot to get them working, Microsoft you need to look into the issues people are telling you instead of it’s our drivers etc etc, get a grip.
In reply to CoffeyRichardson’s post on October 31, ASAP help. We do not want to downgrade all operating systems because of this f.. Thank you. Davis NC. Hey I have the same problem and came to the facts that MS has issues with there latest update that has some how disable our 2. The driver supports all descriptor types defined in ADC-2, section 4. The following subsections provide comments on some specific descriptor types.
An AS interface descriptor must start with alternate setting zero with no endpoint no bandwidth consumption and further alternate settings must be specified in ascending order in compatible USB Audio 2.
Each non-zero alternate setting must specify an isochronous data endpoint, and optionally a feedback endpoint. A non-zero alternate setting without any endpoint is not supported. The bTerminalLink field must refer to a Terminal Entity in the topology and its value must be identical in all alternate settings of an AS interface. For Type I formats, exactly one bit must be set to one in the bmFormats field of the AS interface descriptor. Otherwise, the format will be ignored by the driver.
To save bus bandwidth, one AS interface can implement multiple alternate settings with the same format in terms of bNrChannels and AS Format Type Descriptor but different wMaxPacketSize values in the isochronous data endpoint descriptor.
For a given sample rate, the driver selects the alternate setting with the smallest wMaxPacketSize that can fulfill the data rate requirements. The driver supports a subset of the control requests defined in ADC-2, section 5. The following table shows the subset that is implemented in the driver. Each subrange describes a discrete frequency, or a frequency range. Individual subranges must not overlap.
If a subrange overlaps a previous one, it will be ignored by the driver. The USB Audio 2. The driver supports one single volume range only. If a feature unit implements single channel controls as well as a master control for Mute or Volume, then the driver uses the single channel controls and ignores the master control. There is not any specific partner customization that is associated with the in-box USB Audio 2.
This INF file entry provided in a update to Windows Release , is used to identify that the in-box driver is a generic device driver. USB Audio 2. An arbitrary number of channels greater than eight are not supported in shared mode due to a limitation of the Windows audio stack. The example is for a non-composite device with single feature descriptor. If the driver does not start, the system event log should be checked. The driver logs events which indicate the reason for the failure. Similarly, audio logs can be manually collected following the steps described in this blog entry.
If the failure may indicate a driver problem, please report it using the Feedback Hub described below, and include the logs. For information on how to read logs for the USB Audio 2.
